Split Rock hosts private events for groups of 20–60, or up to 75–100 if you rent out the entire space. Perfect for birthdays, corporate gatherings, and group celebrations.
Private booking availability: Wednesday & Thursday evenings, plus Saturday & Sunday afternoons from 12–3pm.
Our Story
Split Rock was started by friends who shared a desire to bring a West Coast-style beer garden to the South Shore. After two years of planning, they opened the doors in April 2023 with a simple vision: a seasonal outdoor space for local beer, New England seafood, and a family-friendly atmosphere.
The Cohasset location transformed an unused parking lot into an outdoor oasis, anchored by a custom shipping container bar with three plumbed restrooms. A corner stage hosts live music, while fire pits, heat lamps, a big screen for Boston sports, and board games keep guests of every age comfortable through the season.
Co-Founder
A Cohasset resident who relocated from Seattle in 2020. Originally from St. Louis and a University of Oregon grad, Erin spent 15+ years in the Pacific Northwest, where beer gardens in Portland, Seattle, and Bend inspired the vision for Split Rock.
Co-Founder
A Hingham resident and UMass Amherst grad, born and raised in Western Massachusetts. Ryan spent 15 years in tech sales in Boston and San Francisco before coming home to build a community gathering place around good beer and local oysters.
